Application Information

also our school Philosophy. We aim to nurture children good characters of being honest and to love one another, to show their

talents and uniqueness, to attain balanced development, to guide their way when young. We believe that they can overcome

their problems with a positive attitude, and contribute the society with their talents.

Application to 2025-2026 K1 Admission

We now start welcoming 2025-2026 K1 Admission. All children who were born between January and December 2022 are eligible for application.

A. Methods of application 1：Hand in application form by hand/mail (For new students or transfer students)

Please send us the documents listed below with a recent photo of the applicant:

  1. A copy of the child’s birth certificate (If the child was not born in Hong Kong, please also send us the Verification of Right of Abode in Hong Kong).
  2. Two rectangular self-addressed stamped envelopes. Put a $2.20 postage stamp on each envelope (If it is not a local mail, please put on sufficient postage). Also write your mailing address and applicant’s Chinese name on the front of the envelope.
  3. Application fee: HKD$40. Applicants can pay by cheque, cash or bank in to the Hang Seng Bank :

  4. “Truth Baptist Church Empower Kindergarten” (a/c: 259-246288-668). Leave applicant’s name and date of birth on the original deposit slip. The application fee is non-refundable.

  5. Applicants might submit their application by mail, or come to our school in person during office hours.

  6. For whole-day class application, priority will be given to the needy families.

 Methods of application 2：Apply online (For new students)

Instruction for Online Application: (Online application is only eligible for K1 application)

  1. To facilitate the application uploading process, please have all the following documents prepared “before starting”the application.

       1.1. Recent passport photo of the child
       (Please upload the photo in JPG, GIF, or PNG format, and the size of the document should not exceed 2MB)

       1.2. Birth certificate of the child
       (If the child was not born in Hong Kong, please also send us the Verification of Right of Abode in Hong Kong).

       1.3. The bank deposit slip
       (Please deposit the application fee of $40.00 in Hang Seng Bank with account name: “Truth Baptist Church Empower Kindergarten” and account number: “259-246288-668”, and leave the applicant’s name and date of birth on the original deposit slip. )

* The application fee is non-refundable*.

Remarks:

1.1 If any of the above information is missing, the online application will not be completed and the application will not be considered

1.2 Documents uploaded only in PDF, JPG, GIF, or PNG format, and the size of documents should not exceed 2MB

1.3 Please keep the original bank deposit slip. (For further reference)

1.4 Please ensure that the uploaded information is clear and visible for facilitating the application.

  1. A “confirmation email” will be sent out to you after successful submission.
  2. Our school will announce the information for interview time and interview results (if accepted, admission information will be given) via email. Please make sure your email is valid and frequently used, and check regularly.
  3. If the applicant can’t receive an email from our school, check the “junk mail”. After checking the email, please add our email address to your contact list. So you may receive our information sooner.

B. Application for the “Registration Certificate for Kindergarten Admission” (K1-K3) or “Kindergarten Admission Pass”：

  1. Education Bureau (EDB) is implementing the Kindergarten Education Scheme. Under the Scheme, EDB will use the “Registration Certificate for Kindergarten Admission” as the document for registration in the 2023/24 school year.
  2. Parents are required to submit an application for the “Registration Certificate for Kindergarten Admission” (hereafter
    referred as “RC”) or “Kindergarten Admission Pass” (hereafter referred as “AP”) as it is a document For registration details of application, please browse EDB’s website in due course.

C. Interview Arrangement：

  1. The kindergarten will arrange interview for all applicants.
  2. Interviews will be informed by post or email.
  3. Group and/or individual interviews will be arranged.
  4. Parents should accompany their child for the interview.

Admission Criteria

Whole-day session Admission Arrangement

According to EDB instruction, our acceptance for Whole-day session will be based on the individual family needs,
such as the dual-career families and families with special needs such as the families with disabled members.

Interviews Arrangement for non-Chinese speaking children

According to the Education Bureau, interpretation or translation services will be provided to non-Chinese speaking children during interviews. In order to facilitating the process of the interviews, relatives and friends, who can understand Chinese, are also welcome to attend the interviews. D. Announcement of Admission Results：

We will inform parents of the K1 admission results by post or email before end of November 2024.

E. Registration Arrangements：

  1. Successful applicants: Parents should complete the registration procedures for their child in the “Centralised Registration Dates” by submitting the original of the “RC” or “AP” to the kindergarten and paying the registration fee.
  2. Applicants on the waiting list: We will inform parents of results by post or email. Parents should complete the registration procedures for their child according to the specified date set by the school. Parents are required to submit the original of the “RC” or “AP” to the kindergarten and pay the registration fee.
  3. Please be reminded that if parents cannot submit the “RC” or “AP” during registration, the kindergarten may not be able to complete registration for their child. Hence, parents are required to submit application for the Registration document to EDB within the specified period.
  4. The registration fees for a half-day place and a whole-day place are HK$970 and HK$1,570 respectively. Should parents decide to change school after registration, please notify the kindergarten in writing. The kindergarten will return the “RC” or “AP” but the registration fee will not be refunded. Upon obtaining the “RC” or “AP”, the kindergarten will no longer keep the school place for the child.
